Window Covering Safety Council

The Window Covering Safety Council is dedicated to protecting children from potential cord hazards by:

  • Educating parents about potential window cord hazards to young children.
  • Providing consumers with information and free cord safety kits.
  • Promoting the industry’s ongoing commitment to product quality and safety.

The Premier International Association for Color Design Professionals

Color Marketing Group, founded in 1962, is a not-for-profit, international Association of color design professionals involved in the use of color as it applies to the profitable marketing of goods and services. CMG provides a forum for the exchange of non-competitive information relating to all phases of color marketing; color trends and combinations; design influences; merchandising and sales; and education and industry contacts.


Window Coverings Association of America

The Window Coverings Association of America aims to provide dealers, designers and workrooms of the retail window covering industry with educational opportunities while promoting fair business practices and overall betterment of the industry. Among other offerings, the association provides Certified Window Treatment Consultant and Certified Workroom Professional certification programs.


Window Covering Manufacturers Association

The Window Covering Manufacturers Association represents the interests of the window coverings industry and has two membership divisions: Manufacturers and Associates. Among other activities, the WCMA advises government agencies on technical and safety issues, ensuring that the views and concerns of its members are considered.


National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC)

NFRC is a non-profit organization that administers a voluntary, uniform rating, labeling and certification system for the energy performance of windows, doors, curtain walls, skylights and other fenestration products. Its members include manufacturers, suppliers, utilities, consumer groups, representatives from the building and code industries, scientific and educational organizations and government agencies.


Interior Design Society

Interior Design Society (IDS), is an independent national organization more than 3,000 members strong. One of the country’s largest design organizations dedicated to serving the residential interior design industry, the Interior Design Society offers members community, education and business support.
